About the company
OrbitAID Aerospace is building the foundation for a new era of on-orbit servicing and refueling, enabling satellites to operate longer, maneuver more freely, and deliver greater value in space. At the core of this vision is the development of standardized docking and refueling technologies and a future network of orbital fuel stations, transforming how spacecraft are designed, launched, and sustained in orbit.
Our long-term goal is to make space operations more flexible, resilient, and sustainable where satellites are serviced, upgraded, and refueled rather than replaced. We are a small, driven team that values strong engineering fundamentals, ownership, and hands-on problem solving. At OrbitAID, you’ll work closely across disciplines, move quickly from concept to hardware and software, and contribute directly to building the space infrastructure that will power the next generation of missions.
Role Overview:
RF Engineer to lead the design, development, testing, validation, and qualification of RF and satellite communication systems. The role involves hands-on work with measurement equipment, antenna systems, satellite ground stations, SDR-based communication systems, and RF subsystem characterization across laboratory, field, and operational environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, integrate, and validate satellite communication systems and associated ground segment infrastructure to ensure mission readiness and operational performance.
- Develop and execute RF test methodologies, calibration procedures, verification plans, and qualification campaigns in accordance with system and mission requirements.
- Perform characterization, testing, and performance evaluation of RF subsystems, including antennas, filters, amplifiers, receivers, transmitters, modems, and RF assemblies.
- Operate and maintain RF test and measurement equipment such as Vector Network Analyzers (VNA), Spectrum Analyzers, Signal Generators, Oscilloscopes, RF Power Meters, and related instrumentation.
- Contribute to the development, testing, and operation of TT&C systems, SDR-based communication platforms, telemetry processing systems, and satellite ground station networks.
- Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve RF, communication, and ground segment anomalies through systematic root-cause analysis and corrective action implementation.
- Drive knowledge management, technical capability development, and best-practice initiatives while facilitating effective transfer of expertise across engineering and operational teams
