About the company
OrbitAID Aerospace is building the foundation for a new era of on-orbit servicing and refueling, enabling satellites to operate longer, maneuver more freely, and deliver greater value in space. At the core of this vision is the development of standardized docking and refueling technologies and a future network of orbital fuel stations, transforming how spacecraft are designed, launched, and sustained in orbit.
Our long-term goal is to make space operations more flexible, resilient, and sustainable—where satellites are serviced, upgraded, and refueled rather than replaced. We are a small, driven team that values strong engineering fundamentals, ownership, and hands-on problem solving. At OrbitAID, you’ll work closely across disciplines, move quickly from concept to hardware and software, and contribute directly to building the space infrastructure that will power the next generation of missions.
Role Overview
OrbitAID Aerospace is looking for a PR & Design Intern to own the visual identity of our external communications, from investor facing decks to mission branding. This is a 6-month internship, design first in nature: we're prioritizing strong visual craft over generalist marketing experience. The intern will report directly to the Business Development Lead and work closely across BD, Policy & Legal, and PR & Marketing to translate technical and commercial content into polished visual assets.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and format presentations, including investor decks, technical briefings, and partner or government facing materials, with a consistent, polished visual language, working from raw content provided by BD, Policy, or Finance teams
- Create brochures, one-pagers, and leave-behind collateral tailored to different audiences (investors, government stakeholders, industry partners)
- Design mission patches and other identity assets tied to OrbitAID's technical programs, balancing symbolic or mission storytelling with brand consistency
- Coordinate with external PR agencies on campaign assets, brand guideline adherence, and content calendars, acting as the internal design point of contact
- Produce and schedule social media creatives (LinkedIn, X/Twitter) aligned with OrbitAID's positioning in the on-orbit servicing space, including announcement graphics, milestone visuals, and campaign series
- Maintain and evolve OrbitAID's visual brand system across all external facing materials
- Support ad hoc visual needs for events, conferences, and LED data wall presentations
Required Qualifications
- Recent graduate (Design, Fine Arts, Visual Communication, Marketing, or related field)
- Understanding of corporate marketing and design principles, including brand systems, audience segmentation, and campaign structure
Required Skills
- A strong portfolio demonstrating visual design skill (layout, typography, brand systems, color theory)
- Proficiency in design tools (Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or equivalent)
- Comfort working from brand guidelines and applying them consistently across formats, decks, print collateral, and social media
- Ability to translate technical/BD content into clean, non-technical visual narratives
- Self-directed; comfortable iterating quickly on feedback in a fast-moving startup environment
